JOB POSITION: MECHANIC The New Forests Company is an African-based sustainable and socially responsible forestry company with established, rapidly growing plantations in East Africa and timber processing assets which deliver a diversified product base for local and regional export markets. The ideal candidate is ambitious, dedicated, hardworking, intelligent, results-oriented, energetic, honest, and passionate, with strong skills in auto electrical mechanic. Candidates must be willing to relocate near Nyungwe Buffer Zone on a permanent basis. Mechanic – NFC Rwanda Summary of the Position: This role requires a skilled and professional mechanic with diverse knowledge of handling various auto electrical mechanical tasks. To this position, the Mechanic will report to Senior Mechanic. .

Skills and Competencies: • Ability to diagnose electrical malfunctions within automotive systems • Strong attention to detail • Analytical skills • Complex problem solving • Ability to install electrical systems • Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical wiring • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment • Ability to communicate vehicle issues in layman’s terms • Ability to work in a changing environment • Possess strong problem- solving as well as customer service skills • Sound knowledge of computerized diagnostic tools and equipment Good report writing, communication, presentation, and research skills

Qualifications: • Achieved a diploma or at least 3 years training in auto electrical Mechanic from a recognized institution • At least three years’ experience in Mechanic working with recognized institutions • Ability to ride a motorbike, to drive cars and in possession of a valid driving license of Category A, B. • Remuneration and Benefits: dependent on qualifications, experience, and skills of a candidate • Desired Start Date: 08th of April 2019

Experience: • Working in Forestry industry or agricultural plantation as Mechanic with auto electrical skills • Handle the tasks of repairing and overhauling automobiles, trucks, generators well as Motorcycles • Perform the task of removing units like transmission and engine by using hoist and wrenches • Responsible for overhauling or replacing blowers, carburettors, generators, starters, distributors, and pumps • Handle the tasks of rebuilding parts such as cylinder blocks and crankshafts by using welding equipment, shapers, lathes, and drill presses • Responsible for disassembling the unit and inspecting parts for wear by using calipers, micrometers and thickness gauges
